    About the King’s Start-up Accelerator

The King’s Start-up Accelerator (formerly King’s20 Accelerator) is designed to help emerging ventures scale through:

    • Intensive venture workshops
    • Expert mentoring
    • Investment readiness support
    • Access to investor networks
    • Coaching in the Seven Skills of an Entrepreneurial Mindset

Since 2016, more than 140 ventures have progressed through the accelerator, collectively generating over £83 million in revenue and securing more than £100 million in investment.

The 2024–25 cohort runs from June 2024 to May 2025, aligning ventures with expanded investment opportunities.

Find Care Compare Selected in HealthTech Cohort

Find Care Compare was founded by Roxanne Stevenson-Brown, a two-time King’s College London graduate (BSc Political Economy, Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy; MSc China & Globalisation, School of Global Affairs), to address healthcare information inequality within the UK health system.

The platform aims to become a one-stop solution for finding and comparing health and care services, empowering patients to make informed decisions and supporting greater health equality.

This includes improving transparency across both NHS and private healthcare systems in England.

As part of the HealthTech stream within the accelerator, Find Care Compare joins ventures building solutions across digital health, mental health and healthcare infrastructure.

Selection into the King’s Start-up Accelerator reflects institutional recognition of the platform’s mission to improve transparency and access within NHS and private healthcare pathways.

    A Foundation for Growth

Participation in the accelerator marks an early milestone in Find Care Compare’s growth journey.

The programme provides structured support in venture scaling, product development and investment readiness, helping position the company for national expansion.

As NHS waiting lists continue to create pressure across the UK healthcare system, tools that improve navigation and transparency are increasingly critical.

Find Care Compare’s inclusion in the 2024–25 cohort signals confidence in the platform’s potential to contribute to that transformation.
