Find Care Compare has successfully graduated from the 2024–25 King’s Start-up Accelerator at King’s College London, the flagship venture programme run by the King’s Entrepreneurship Institute.
Over the past 12 months, the accelerator has supported Find Care Compare through structured mentoring, venture workshops, investor exposure and strategic development as part of a cohort spanning HealthTech, EdTech and Social Impact.
The programme, which ran from June 2024 to May 2025, marked a foundational year in the company’s development.
A Year of Growth and Milestones
Find Care Compare entered the accelerator with a clear mission: to make the UK healthcare system easier to understand and navigate.
Over the course of the programme, the platform evolved from early concept into an operational healthcare comparison platform serving thousands of patients.
Key milestones during the accelerator year included:
- Securing first institutional investment from the University of Oxford through the ImpactU Pathfinder Award
- Winning the Health & Wellbeing category at The Conduit Innovator Awards
- Speaking on panels hosted by the Women’s Entrepreneurs Network and King’s Business School
- Being interviewed by Mike Soutar and Jas Wilks from Let’s Fund Her
- Securing initial grant funding from King’s College London
- Onboarding senior advisors including Lawrence Tallon, Isaac Ezro-Lack and Professor Stephen Scott CBE
- Growing the founding team across product, operations and partnerships
- Working alongside a network of Experts in Residence supporting venture development
Collectively, these milestones reflect the structured growth enabled by the accelerator environment.
From Idea to Impact
When joining the King’s Start-up Accelerator in June 2024, Find Care Compare was an early-stage concept focused on reducing healthcare information inequality.
Twelve months later, the platform has supported thousands of patients navigating NHS and private healthcare services across England.
Participation in the accelerator provided a framework for disciplined venture building — including product refinement, investment readiness, governance structures and strategic partnerships.
As NHS waiting lists continue to place pressure on patients across England, tools that improve transparency and navigation are increasingly important.
What’s Next
Following graduation from the King’s Start-up Accelerator, Find Care Compare will continue scaling nationally.
The company is scheduled to present at the inaugural Schwarzman Scholars Demo Day later in 2025, further expanding its global investor exposure.
Graduation from the accelerator represents both the completion of a structured growth phase and the beginning of the company’s next chapter.
Acknowledgement
Find Care Compare extends its thanks to the team at King’s College London and particularly the King’s Entrepreneurship Institute for their mentorship, support and leadership throughout the programme.
It was a privilege for the founder to later return and speak at Cohort IX welcome week as part of the Meet the Founders panel — reflecting on the journey from selection to graduation.
