NHS Talking Therapies in Newcastle accept self-referrals for PTSD. For PTSD, NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) is a first point of contact and accepts self-referrals. NICE recommends two specific treatments for PTSD: trauma-focused CBT and EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing).
